Urapunga School provides primary education for an Indigenous community at the former Urapunga Station.
Urapunga School is located 300km south-east of Katherine, on the Roper Highway. It is a three teacher school with a student capacity of approximately forty. It caters for students from Transition to Year 7.
The original Urapunga School was located on the station property in a "Silver Bullet" and was opened in 1975. The school moved to its present location on Aboriginal land in 1995.
Urapunga is nestled between two great rivers, the Roper and the Wilton.
